1500 hours The Black Belt Exam
I don't think people realise the impact the 'Black Belt' event has on the guys testing, it's not just the day, it's the days, months and years building up to it. black belt should be special and it needs special people to get it!
Black belt is most definately the start of your martial arts journey, not the end. When you pass black belt, you have achieved something that a lot of martial artists only dream about. There are karate dojo out there, that just about give the black belt away, just do your time, test at the end of it and there you go, you're black belt. I strongly disagree with this way of attaining black belt. It should mean something special.
I am proud of all the karateka who tested on this day, pass or fail, they are all champions to me.
Well Done.
